This is the step that decides how the car looks. Molecular Fine-Cut is a finishing polish rather than a heavy cut: it clears the haze and holograms left behind by cutting, refines the surface and brings the paint up to a deep, wet gloss.

Why it works

Fine-Cut is the last thing on the paint before protection. Cutting removes the damage, but it leaves its own fine marks behind. Fine-Cut refines those away, so what you see is gloss rather than haze. Wipe down with Surface Therapy afterwards, then lock the finish in with a Molecular ceramic coating.

How to use

  1. Complete any cutting stages first with Coarse-Cut or Medium-Cut.
  2. Apply a few pea-sized drops to a polishing or finishing pad.
  3. Spread over a 50 x 50cm section with the machine off, then work in slow, overlapping passes.
  4. Reduce pressure on the final pass to refine the finish.
  5. Wipe off the residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect under good light.
  6. Wipe the panel down with Surface Therapy before applying a ceramic coating.
